It has been an incredibly eventful year at Sarah Waddington Solicitors. As some of you may already know, we appeared on the BBC Two program ‘The Victoria Derbyshire Show’ early in the year where we debated with the president of the RDO (Resort Development Organisation) over Timeshare companies’ exit policies. Since October, we have been to the House of Commons multiple times and discussed with MP’s the need for stringent legislation to police the Timeshare industry. At present there is a distinct lack of protocol in this area. This huge undertaking has all been happening whilst we have continued helping our own clients to become Timeshare free.
2018 saw Sarah Waddington Solicitors relinquish contracts at the following Timeshare companies:
• Akeld Manor
• Alanda Club Marbella
• Blue Bay Resorts
• Clowance Estate & Country Club
• Clube Praia da Oura
• Club La Costa
• Club Marina
• Club Puerto Rico
• Club Tropicana
• Crown Resorts
• Diamond Resorts International Europe
• Diamond Resorts International USA
• Diversified Resorts
• Flamingo Club
• Fortina Spa Resort
• Grand Holidays Club
• Grand Sirenis
• Group Pinero
• Heritage Resorts & Hotels
• Hever Golf & Country Club
• Hollywood Mirage
• Infiniti
• La Pinta Beach Club
• MGM Muthu Hotels
• Orange Lake County Club
• Palm Oasis
• Panareti Coral Bay Resorts
• Paradise King’s Club
• Pergola
• Puerto Calma Holiday Club
• RCI Europe
• Regency Country Club
• Royal Coral Bay
• Royal Sunset Beach
• San Antonio

• Silverpoint Vacations
• Sunset Beach Club
• Wimpen Leisure Management
Not only this, but we have also managed to obtain compensation from some of these Timeshare companies, with one of our clients receiving £14,000 in compensation for their mis-sold timeshare.
Furthermore, as many of you know this industry is littered with rogue organisations, this year we have managed to gain refunds from some of these scam companies, including ABC Lawyers. This has been hugely rewarding, especially considering that in many cases the people running these companies are the same people who you purchased the Timeshare product from in the first place!
2019 is set to be another exciting year for us at Sarah Waddington Solicitors, our team has grown substantially in the last 12 months, and with this an increase in the number of successful outcomes we have achieved for our clients. Get ready to see some new, and very experienced, faces joining our team in the new year too.
We will continue to fight for changes to be made to UK Law, and our Early Day Motion which we assisted Tommy Sheppard MP to initiate, is gathering some considerable momentum. You can view more about this here.
We are looking forward to what 2019 brings, and we know that the Timeshare companies will not feel the same way as we issue court proceedings on more and more cases. Get in touch with a member of our team to get your case started as soon as possible.
