Sarah Waddington continues to secure refunds for Timeshare scam victims.
Over the last few months, we’ve seen a marked increase in worried Timeshare owners contacting us after falling foul of exaggerated timeshare refund scams. Many of the victims have expressed extreme worry and distress after spending £1000’s with rogue organisations that have done little to delivery what they had promised. Unfortunately for most once payment was made the companies in questions failed to delivery any of the services, they promised and timeshare owners were left still owning a Timeshare and no refund in sight.
What have Sarah Waddington Solicitors been able to do?
Thankfully for those that have contacted us we have been able to review their circumstances and paperwork and provide various services ranging from simple advice to recovering a full refund of the fees that they had paid to the unregulated organisations that have failed to deliver what was promised.
Common Timeshare Issues
We know from experience that the timeshare claims industry is rife with unregulated companies offering services that they are unable to provide. Too often we are contacted by Timeshare owners who have paid £1000’s to companies that have not delivered what they promised. These owners are left out of pocket, in debt, and still stuck in a Timeshare contract that they cannot afford.
Latest Timeshare Scam
The latest area in which people are being scammed is “timeshare exit services”, where a company promises you that they can get you out of your timeshare for a large fee. They take the fee and do nothing. The consumer still has their timeshare but are now out of pocket by £1000s. We have been able to recover this money for our clients if they have bought from the likes of Aegis Direct SL, Arbitration Consultants SL, or CA & M International.
Why Regulation is important
We recently wrote in an article “The problem with Timeshare and unregulated claims companies” why its important for regulation within the Timeshare claims industry which you can read more about by clicking the link. What is absolutely clear, is that if a business that is not regulated and carries out work that should be regulated, then they may be committing an offence. Moreover, the consumer may be at disadvantaged. If something goes wrong, they have no recourse to complain to anyone. They will simply lose their claim and any chance they had of recovering any money that is lost, notwithstanding the money you have paid to the non-regulated firm.
What should you do if you think you’ve paid money to a non-regulated company?
